Late pledges are often the only way to get Kickstarter editions of many amazing board games. Usually, after the campaign, they go to retail in a less attractive (but still 100% playable) versions. Collectors and people who simply like to have the best looking version of the game have to either act fast during the campaign or wait for late pledges. These might not always appear, but recently they’ve gotten more common.
To save you a lot of time, we have created a list of 21 great board games that can still be ordered through late pledge systems in 2021. Most of these had their campaigns last year or in early 2021. Enjoy!

3. Darwin’s Journey
An euro style game about an expedition to Galapagos led by Charles Darwin. The latest project by Thundergryph Games.
4. CMON Presents: The Animation Collection
3 different board games devoted to popular cartoons and designed by talented people at CMON.
5. Carnegie: Deluxe Edition
A deep and complex euro style game about the manufacturing industry and business. Inspired by the life of A. Carnegie.

6. Cloudspire: Ankar’s Plunder + Series Reprint
A reprint of the popular MOBA-inspired strategy game, known for its unique token stacking mechanics that lead to powerful combos. The new campaign also offered 2 optional expansions to the base game.
7. The 7th Citadel
A spiritual successor to The 7th Continent with lots of new, building-related mechanics and plenty of QoL upgrades.
8. Tanares Adventures + Arena: the Contest 1.5
An upgraded skirmish game by Dragori Games and a brand new adventure game set in the same world, using similar mechanics to provide whole new experiences.
9. Frostpunk: The Board Game
A strategy game set in the world known from the original Frostpunk for PC and consoles. Manage a city in a post apocalyptic, frozen world where heat is the most valuable resource ever.
10. Bardsung
Co-op dungeon crawler, with highly customizable heroes and big production values. Playable in campaign mode or as single scenarios.

11. Nova Aetas: Renaissance
Ludus Magnus Studio is back with the next game set in their Italy-inspired Nova Aetas universe. This time we become mercenaries during a war between Rome and Venice.
12. Tapeworm
A simple, yet charming party game that took Kickstarter by storm last year and collected over $1.000.000 in pledges. LP aren’t available but people can still preorder the game.
13. Freedom Five
A superhero-themed game by Richard Launius and the Sadler brothers. Cooperate to defeat dangerous, AI controlled villains as a team.
14. ENDLESS WINTER – Paleoamericans
Lead a tribe of people during the difficult Ice Age times. Lots of worker placement and deck building included.
15. Roll Player Adventures
A new take on the Roll Player series with big focus on story, puzzles and working together.
16. Cartographers: Heroes
3 new editions of the popular paper & pencil game include additional goal cards, challenges and most importantly: new maps to draw on, each with its own set of rules. Original game is also available.
17. Stefan Feld City Collection – Hamburg & Amsterdam
The first 2 installments in the new collection of games by the legendary Stefan Feld. Both come with lots of new content and reimagined visuals.

18. Stormsunder: Heirs of Ruin

22. MIND MGMT: The Psychic Espionage “Game”
Unique, asymmetric game where one player does everything to get new recruits, while the other 3 are trying to pinpoint his location on the secret board. Sealed packages make following games even more exciting.
