Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City
Cyberpunk 2020 was easily among our favorite RPG systems back in the day and we were hyped as much as everyone else for the video game by CD Projekt Red. The opinions were divided when it came out, but we loved how well they crafted the world and how the scenario was written.
Looks like soon we will be able to return to the Night City again without the need to use any electricity. Gangs of Night City is the newest board game set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe and will be published by CMON in 2022. We’re waiting for more info about this one, and will certainly keep you all updated.
The Elder Scrolls
Fans of The Elder Scrolls franchise will be happy to learn that they will finally be able to play their favourite series as a tabletop game. The people responsible for this production are folks from Chip Theory Games. So far they have given us the amazing Cloudspire, Too Many Bones and Hoplomachus – so fans of Elder Scrolls should be satisfied. Your game is in good hands! But for now: let’s wait for more info. The official website is up and running so fans can already subscribe for the official newsletter.
And remember: there’s also a Skyrim tabletop game coming to Gamefound, likely this year!
Warden Chronicles is a brand new tabletop game designed by Michael Cunningham. The action takes place in the lands of Naggoru, torn by conflicts and never ending changes. Players take on the roles of powerful leaders called the Wardens.
The game is fully cooperative and puts lots of focus on exploration. We’ve been quite hyped about this project since its initial announcement. The game seems to be an open world RPG with the ability to either play small scenarios or tackle entire campaigns. Wardens themselves are asymmetric and have different mechanics and strategies if you want to use your team to its fullest potential.
Omega Virus and Omega Virus: Prologue
Restoration games have given us some amazing titles in recent years. Like many of you know, they specialize in remaking old games and upgrading them with modern mechanics and visuals. So far they have given us Fireball Island: The Curse of Vul-Kar, the Unmatched series and many others.
The new Omega Virus is based on a 1992 game of the same title. We have to wait for more news regarding the entire remake, but right now Restoration Games have created something called Omega Virus: Prologue. A 2-player card game that supposedly works as an introduction to the proper product. Players get identical decks and build tableau to save the Battlesat from being destroyed by a dangerous virus. The game is played in a simultaneous manner. Players place their cards at the same time, creating rooms that might host keys vital to open the “locked” cards present in the game.
Bruxelles 1893: Deluxe reissue – Q1 2022
A highly praised 2013 worker placement game is coming to Kickstareter in a new version with additions that will please both new and established fans of the title.
What is Brussels 1893 exactly? The game lets 2 to 5 players become 19th century architects specializing in Art Nouveau. The game offers a unique take on the worker placement gameplay with tons of options and strategies to go for. Brussels 1893 features a modular board and many different mechanics from bidding to area influence.
A new expansion called Belle Epoque will be offered as well, same with high quality coins and resource tokens.
Silver Coin: Age of Monster Hunters
This one will surely be interesting for fans of the popular Monster Hunter video game series and everyone who enjoys hunting for bigger prey. The game takes place in Atosia, land ravaged by huge beasts who hunt for all sorts of living beings. Your team consists of mercenaries hungry for gold and skilled in hunting monstrosities like these. The game is designed for 1 to 5 players and, apart from hunting, features a sizable world map, lots of traveling, a system of weather and plenty of roles to play as. Authors have designed different modes: from solo and co-op to a competitive take on the rules.
La Granja: Deluxe Master Set
La Granja came out in 2014 and let players become farmers living their lives on the beautiful Spanish island of Mallorca. Tending to fields, hiring workers and selling goods were only a part of activities available. Crops had to be brought to the nearby village to gain profit. The game lasts for 6 rounds and whoever collects the most victory points by the end becomes the winner.
The new Deluxe Master Set that will be available through Kickstarter in January 2022 will come in a special big box, support different languages, have high quality components and most importantly: plenty of new expansions made by famous board game designers from Stefan Feld to Adam Kwapinski.
A brand new title by Davide Calza and Adrea Crespi (Potion Explosion, Alone) is coming to Kickstarter in 2022. Starship Interstellar will be a science fiction game taking place in the year 2357 and focusing on the exploration of space. The sun is about to turn into a red giant and humanity is in desperate need to find a new home. You will be tasked with building a colossal spaceship that will help with relocation to another planet. The journey will involve looking for resources in space and constructing the ship. Whoever contributes the most becomes the winner.
Hippocrates – a New Expansion
An expansion to Hippocrates designed by Alain Orban (Troyes, Black Angel) and published by Game Brewer (Gugong, Gentes) is coming to Kickstarter. The original game takes place in ancient Greece and focuses on successors of the legendary Hippocrates – a physician, known as one of the most important people in the history of medicine. Players treat patients, manage doctors and try to help as many people as possible. The new Kickstarter campaign is set to launch in May and will feature a whole new expansion to the game.
Druid City Games is back with a new project by James Hudson (The Grimm Masquerade). The game will feature beautiful illustrations by David Kegg, whom many of you may know from games like, Star Wars: Imperial Assault, Star Wars: Outer Rim or Fireball Island: The Curse of Vul-Kar.
Bloodstone tells a story about a cursed relic and a bunch of characters who have to fight in a never ending combat where they’re unable to die. The game can be played either in a co-op campaign or a PvP mode that can host up to 8 players fighting against each other. 40 minis and over 100 special dice included.
